We are once again meeting as two groups.
The group that meets in the Multi Purpose Room under the expert counsel of Dr. Wilbert Sohns is studying The Biblical Cloud. Allow him to explain. The study is a sequel to The Biblical Cloud study with the subject, God’s Dwelling Place – Our Worship Place as revealed in the Old and New Testaments from Genesis to Revelation. The study focuses on God’s Holy House and Home bringing to life God’s present House (dwelling) in our personal faith and daily life.
The group that meets in the Sanctuary is undertaking a Sunday study of Dr. Martin Luther. The plan is to intersperse throughout the rest of this year, and into 2017, studies dealing with Dr. Luther and the Reformation as we get ready for, and then celebrate, the 500th Anniversary of the Reformation. This first study is entitled “A Man Named Martin – The Man”.
This group is made up of individuals who meet in a member's home or at the church every month, spending time in fellowship and Bible study. There is room for many more people to join us in these times of study. If you would like to give it a try, let Pastor Heckmann know and he will get you fixed up.
Ladies' Evening Bible Study
This Bible Study for women meets on Wednesday evenings, during the school year, from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. All women are invited especially mothers dropping their children off for
Midweek Religion Classes.
Join us this fall as we study the Psalms of Ascent through a Beth Moore study entitled, "Stepping Up: A Journey Through the Psalms of Ascent". Traveling pilgrims sang these psalms and these 15 psalms model how we can voice our own petitions and praises to our God, who is always available and ready to hear us. All women of the congregation, community, and anyone they would like to invite, are welcome.
Men's Evening Bible Study
This Bible Study is open to all of the men of our congregation. It meets each Wednesday evening, during the school year, from 6:30 until 8:00 p.m. to study and discuss with one another various aspects of their lives as children of God. All men are invited especially those dropping off their children for Midweek Religion Classes or coming with their wives. This group meets in the Multipurpose Room in the Family Activity Center.
